Andy’s introduction to Northern Michigan began when he studied Animal Ecology and Aquatic Biology at AuSable Environmental Institute. In 2004, Andy and his wife moved from Indiana to Traverse City. Hours spent at beaches, hiking trails, ski hills, mountain bike trails, and on rivers, lakes, and the bay standout as not only the most memorable times, but also times that created a sense of identity and place.

Raising five children in Northern Michigan, Andy has realized how outdoor activities shape the personalities and character of children.

Andy is a lawyer with Parker Harvey PLC , a member of New Hope Community Church, and a past Board Member of the Great Lakes Children’s Museum.
